DR. LYN BOULTER, Professor, completed her B.A. at California University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. at the University of West Virginia. Her area of expertise is Life Span Developmental Psychology, but she also is licensed to teach elementary, birth-kindergarten, and special education. Her current research, often conducted in collaboration with Psychology majors, concerns the effectiveness of home-school education and the relationship between student self-concept and adjustment of college during the first year. Several conference presentations and manuscripts have been co-authored with students.

Dr. Boulter is a life-span developmental psychologist and teaches General Psychology, Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Human Development, Psychological Tests and Measurements, Educational Psychology and Psychology of Exceptionalities. Most of her classes provide opportunities for students to observe human development first hand by working directly with individuals in a variety of community settings. She also is active in community service as a member of several local governing boards and advisory committees. In her free time, she likes to run, bike, and spend time with family.
