Advisor Information

Complainants and Accused Students are allowed to have advisors. The advisor must be a member of the College community and may not be an attorney.

Here are some commonly asked questions you might also have:

Q: How many advisors may an accused student have?
A: Each person may have one advisor.

Q: Who can serve as an advisor?
A: Faculty, staff, or students.

Q: What is the role of an advisor?
A: The advisor serves as a support person. The advisor may attend any meeting that the accused has to attend. The advisor may not speak during any meeting. However, the advisor may write to the accused student only.

Q: When should I be present?
A: The most important part for an advisor is to be at the hearing. The advisor is allowed to sit through the entire hearing and support the accused student.
