Louis DeJoy is Chief Executive Officer of New Breed Logistics, Inc., a privately held third-party logistics company founded in 1968 and headquartered in High Point, North Carolina.

New LogisticsSince joining the company in 1983, Mr. DeJoy provided the vision to guide New Breed through a period of exponential growth – transforming the company from a regional business with 10 employees and revenues of $1 million to an industry-leading national organization with more than 7,000 employees, revenues exceeding $500 million, and operations in every major market across the United States. 

Under his leadership, the company developed broad-based capabilities — including world-class physical distribution, information services, and supply chain management solutions.  Mr. DeJoy is recognized for many significant accomplishments, including:

  • Consistently achieving year-over-year double-digit growth.
  • Awarded the 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas'.
  • Consistently named to the list of fastest growing privately held companies in North Carolina, and
  • Recognized as the Boeing Supplier of the Year for performance excellence.

Private industry and governmental agencies have sought his advice on various logistical, warehousing, and transportation projects; inventory management; valuation techniques; and operation and cost systems.

Mr. DeJoy believes that leaders of successful businesses, and their respective organizations, need to support local charitable and civic organizations. He, his family, and the Company are major contributors to both local and national organizations that focus on health, education and the arts.

Additionally, Mr. DeJoy is a very active political fundraiser for the Republican Party. Mr. DeJoy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Stetson University, then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.  

Board Memberships/Appointments
Recently served under a Presidential Appointment as a Member of the President's Commission on White House Fellowships Board of Trustees, Moses Cone Health System, and also serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee Board of Trustees, Fund for American Studies Board of Trustees, Elon University, and also serves as Chair of the Business and Finance Committee and as a member of the Investment Committee Personal Mr. DeJoy resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with his wife Dr. Aldona Wos and their children, Ania and Andrew DeJoy. Dr. Wos served as United States Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia from 2004-2006.
