China Business Study Tour of China: "Business in China"


May 19 - June 1, 2008

The "Business in China" tour with the Ketner School of Business and Associate Professor of Marketing Dr. Jack Green was offered through EF Educational Tours and was open to Catawba students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as other representatives of the college such as trustees and Business Advisory Board members and their spouses or partners. The program included visits to:

  • Shenzhen
  • Hong Kong

Those who participated in the China tour in addition to Dr. Green include Kyle Overacker, a senior Business Administration major from Albany, N.Y.; Sarah Grochoski, a senior Business Administration major in the evening program from Rockwell, N.C.; Geoffrey Grochoski, Sarah’s husband; Anjelica Fresia, a sophomore Business Administration major from Jacksonville, N.C.; Bradley Ross, a senior Business Administration major from Freeland, Md.; Sheri Keithley, a senior Business Administration major from Huntingtown, Md.; Alicia Bean, a sophomore Business Administration major from Spencer, N.C.; George Johnson, class of 1977, President, Carolina Aircraft & NexGa, Inc., former Adjunct Professor for the Ketner School of Business and active member of the Catawba College Business Advisory Board; and Robert Van Geons, class of 1997, Executive Director, Salisbury-Rowan EDC, and active member and Vice-Chair of the Catawba College Business Advisory Board.

Students at Catawba College can apply for a Foreign Study Scholarship through the Glenn and Addie Ketner Center for International Studies.
