David Edwards is a lifelong musician, having played drums since age 7 and guitar since age 15. A native of Salisbury, David attended North Rowan High School and participated in marching, concert, and jazz band. After graduation, David began his development as a teacher by working with local high schools as a marching percussion instructor. Around the same time, he began offering private lessons for guitar. In 2004, David founded The Psalmist Workshop, a sole proprietorship for private music lessons. He and his wife, Kelly, currently offers lessons to the RCHSA, North Hills Christian School in Salisbury, Intune School of the Arts in Concord, and to the general public out of their home. David is a Christian Ministry graduate of Lee University and has worked in multiple settings as a musician, teacher, worship leader, and youth pastor. He and his wife, Kelly, make their home in Salisbury and are members of Grace Covenant Church in Kannapolis. They have a daughter, Tori, and are expecting a new arrival in January of 2011.
