Music Education students Music Education Concentration

The Music Education Concentration is designed to provide study and experiences to meet the music competencies expected by the State of North Carolina for K-12 music teacher licensure. In addition to the courses listed below, the Music Education student will be expected to meet departmental requirements of recital performance, ensemble participation (College Wind Ensemble, College Singers), and attendance at certain musical recitals and performances, as well as to pass both a theory and a performance exam by the end of the sophomore year.
