Athletic Training


Athletic Trainers are the front-line professionals dealing specifically with a physically active population. The program consists of various academic and clinical experiences. Not only will athletic training students be exposed to numerous academic challenges, but, as a part of the clinical program, they will also be involved in the daily delivery of athletic healthcare to the intercollegiate athletes at Catawba College.   • Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Symposium
    The Athletic Training Staff, along with eight Athletic Training Students, attended the symposium in Virginia Beach. The athletic training students attended educational meetings, participated in the athletic training games, and had the pleasure of meeting the new president of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Marjorie Albohm.

    The Athletic Training Club assisted the Medicine Shop of Salisbury with their Health Fair. Ten Athletic Training Students volunteered their efforts to provide free blood pressure, blood glucose, weight, and body fat measurements for thirty individuals. The Medicine Shop Health Fair was coordinated by Mrs. Teresa Casmus, RPh.
