Jack Murray

JackMurray.jpgJack Murray is in much demand as a woodwind player, playing saxophone, clarinet, flute, and oboe in Broadway shows, symphony orchestras, jazz bands, rock bands and recording work. Jack has toured with The Four Tops, The Temptations, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and has appeared with Michael Feinstein, Linda Eder, Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Kenny Rogers, Manhattan Transfer, Slide Hampton, Jon Faddis, Patti Austin, Rosemary Clooney, Steve Allen, Bernadette Peters, Nancy Wilson, Johnny Mathis, Barry Manilow, Linda Ronstadt, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, John Pizzarelli, Gladys Knight, and Clark Terry.

In addition to his live performances Jack has been featured on various recordings and television shows on saxophone, clarinet and flute. He performed with Duke Ellington’s "Sophisticated Ladies" 1999/2000 European Tour with Dee Dee Bridgewater and Freda Payne. Most recently Jack was seen performing "Chicago" with Gregory Harrison, "The Full Monty", "South Pacific" with Robert Goulet, "Kiss Me Kate" with Rex Smith and Rachel York, and "Damn Yankees" with Jerry Lewis. Jack was named "Most Outstanding Saxophone Performer" at the Mobile Jazz Festival in 1994. Jack Murray is a Yamaha Artist.
