A little more about me:
I am a native to Salisbury, NC, and a commuter student who is working towards her B.A in Musical Theater, with a minor in Creative Writing. I chose theater and creative writing because I love to tell stories, especially dark and powerful ones, and theater is one particular extension of storytelling. My aspirations involve wanting to publish writing for the stage and other fiction works (such as screenplays, scripts for web series, and novels), and continuing to act for as long as possible. My hobbies involve hoarding books; bargain hunting; memorizing alarming amounts of information about Tolkien, superheroes, and mythological creatures; and playing Pokémon Go.

A little more about me:
I truly enjoy all areas of the theatre, but I am not quite a theatre generalist; I tend to lean toward the production and educational aspects of theatre whenever I plan for my future. Outside of the realm of theatre, I also have experience in many areas such as music (Choral, instrumental, and conducting experience), pottery, teaching (various subjects), marketing, and graphic design. I plan on obtaining a Masters of Fine Arts in Lighting Design, and I am having thoughts of working towards an Ed.D. in Literacy, Language, and Culture. I cannot see a future in which I am not teaching. I would love to eventually teach at a collegiate level and/or work for some type of theatre therapy program that helps underprivileged youth. I am extremely passionate about everything that I do, making me very ambitious and providing me with an exceptional work ethic. There is no greater joy in my life than sharing the arts with the ones who need it most.

A little more about me:
Hi! My name is Collette and I don’t really like long walks on the beach or sitting by the fire. I’m a B.A. in Theatre Arts with a strong interest in politics and history. In addition to my theatre studies, I am an active member of the College Honors Program. Currently, my work in the theatre and in the Honors program are intersecting in my Honors Thesis, which will hopefully be finished in March! Originally from Philadelphia and raised in Baltimore, I came to Catawba to get a taste of the South. And while eventually I’d prefer to end up back in the Northeast, I’d really like to continue exploring different regions and their lifestyles, potentially through the next steps in my education. At this point I’m intending to pursue a M.A in Theatre Arts and eventually a PhD, although I’m not sure in what yet. Ultimately, I’d like to teach at a college or university as well as work at the other end of the spectrum helping the youngest theatre kids grow into really great artists.

A little more about me:
I was born in the small town of Concord, NC. I have been in theater for the last nine years as either a member of production teams or creative teams: I have spent the most time a performer. I have an avid interest in growing as a performer and as someone who is actively involved in the creative process. In the recent past I have been active as a performer in Eugene Ionesco’s Exit the King, a sound designer for personal projects, and workshopping potential lighting designs. In general, I’m a pretty nerdy person, and I am drawn to the idea of what things like sci-fi and fantasy can offer as a potential place to create new productions and designs for theater as well as other forms of performance art. What inspires me is the idea of showing people something which connects people to my experiences and shows them something about myself that otherwise they wouldn’t ever see.

A little more about me:
I'm a 21-year-old from the mountains of North Carolina. I am graduating this year with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a B.S. in Theatre Arts Administration. Throughout my time at Catawba, I have tried to gain skills to broaden my "tool belt," and best prepare me for the industry. I am excited about most areas of theatre, which has made it hard to narrow down exactly what I am looking to do after graduation. I want to find a job that challenges me and helps me grow as a theatre artist and a human being. I would love to have a mentor to help guide me through the process of helping me figure out what to do when I "grow up."

A little more about me:
I grew up in Houston, Texas where I spent the majority of my life onstage as a musical theatre performer in community and educational theatres. During the latter years of my performing arts high school training and the entirety of my collegiate education, I've grown much more passionate about text-based straight theatre. This area is probably where I thrive the most, even though I have strong musical inclinations, have been hired as a choral singer frequently, and have sung leads in musicals. Directing has become a newfound interest of mine because of the individualistic vision and point of view it requires to move an audience and the opportunity to work with actors and challenge them. I have co-produced three low budget "starving artist" shows with my peers over the past few years and I have found these experiences challenging, but also so rewarding. Therefore, I would love to learn more about company management and starting my own non-profit theatre company.

A little more about me:
I’m originally from Asheville, NC, and have been working and training in various areas of theatre and live performance since 2011. I originally began my theatre career as a performer, then began training with the Society of American Fight Directors in theatrical and stage combat in 2013, right before beginning school at Catawba, where I have choreographed fights for shows including Waiting for Lefty, Guys and Dolls, and RENT. During my junior year, I discovered my passion for technical work, specifically lighting design and electrics work, and since switched into the Production and Design track. Over the past summer, I worked as a pyrotechnician at Cedar Point on their largest outdoor show, Luminosity. Outside of the theatre world, I enjoy SCUBA diving, photography, camping, cooking, whipmaking, swordfights, and spinning fire. Post-undergrad, my goals are to continue my stage combat training and fight direct for a professional company, attend graduate school for technical direction and lighting design, and to work as a performer at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and I hope to hear from you!

I am currently an Honors Senior and a BA Theatre Arts Candidate with a Studio Arts Minor who hails from the nearby little town of Concord, North Carolina. While at Catawba, I have appeared in Catawba's productions of Under Milk Wood and Guys and Dolls, provided the scenic design for Georg Büchner's Woyzeck, and am in the midst of directing Eugene Ionesco's Exit the King, all the while working diligently in the Scene Shop as a carpenter since my very first semester at Catawba. Even though I am pursuing a degree in the Theatre, I love learning about and discussing movies, history, art, philosophy, literature, and cartoons.
