Catawba offers music and theatre scholarships based upon auditions:

We offer scholarships for music majors, minors and ensemble participants. These scholarships are awarded for various choral and instrumental ensembles and includes popular music ensembles as well. These awards are based upon auditions and are awarded and renewed on a semester by semester basis. Information on specific requirements can be obtained upon request. Theatre Arts Scholarship Auditions

theatremasks.jpgWe offer theatre scholarships for performance, design and production. A limited number of auditions may be accepted on Fridays at noon when we're in session. You must apply to audition at least two weeks before the audition date. No walk-ins will be accepted. We also audition at the North Carolina Theatre Conference and the Southeastern Theatre conference. View requirements »

Performance scholarships are renewable for the full four years so long as the student remains active in theatre arts and maintains at least a 2.7 average. ad-theatreschol.png

Catawba offers a full-tuition Theatre Arts scholarship that is auditioned for and awarded in tandem with our audition days. The Hobgood Theatre Arts Scholarship is awarded to the incoming student who best demonstrates the most potential in the Department’s long-established mission of "Changing the Face of the American Theatre." In order to qualify for this prestigious scholarship, students must meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.5 (weighted), must have an SAT Verbal score of at least 500, and must meet all the application requirements. Read more...
