If you have an associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) from an accredited community college, all of your general education requirements at Catawba will be met.
Students applying for admission to Catawba College as degree-seeking students from other accredited colleges and universities are admitted as Transfer Students. The decision to transfer from a familiar environment to an entire new world can sometimes be a difficult one. We strive to put your fears to rest by offering detailed information on how to apply as a transfer and what you can expect in the process. Shannon McClain completed her Associate of Arts degree at CPCC in December 2008. She decided to stay in school with the way the economy is.
"I knew that if I went to community college and I got all the gen ed requirements done there, I could get an associate’s degree. I earned it and I shouldn’t have to retake courses that I’ve already taken when I transfer somewhere else."
