  • Throughout the day: Classes without Quizzes!
    Alumni Office, 1st floor Hedrick Administration Building
    Continue your Catawba education as you experience the talents of current Catawba faculty. Sit in on a class! Come by the Alumni Office to pick up a list of available classes, times and locations. Or, e-mail after October 1st for an electronic list.

    McCanless Golf Club of Salisbury (3515 Stokes Ferry Rd)
    Start the weekend off right! Join other alumni for a round of Captain's Choice golf, prizes, pig pickin' and fun.

    Be sure to register now ... this popular event is first come, first served.
    • Tee sponsorships are available. Contact Margaret Faust at (704) 637-4201 or
    • Cost is $70 per player on or before October 10; $80 per player after October 8; $75 per tee sponsorship
    • Advance payment is required to reserve your spot.
    • Teams of fewer than four will be placed with other players.
    • Pig pickin'and team photos begin at 11:30 before play begins.
    • Please arrive early to check-in.
    • Players must be at least 21 years old and cannot be current students.

    President and Mrs. lewis invite ALL alumni to drop in for conversation and refreshment at the beautiful official residence. What a great place to meet up with friends and start your  Homecoming Weekend!

    Hedrick Little Theatre (Robertson College-Community Center)
    Come enjoy a mix of returning alumni and current theatre students as they take the stage for your entertainment!

  • 8pm — Blue Masque Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Reception
    Hedrick Little Theatre (Robertson College-Community Center)
    Join us as we celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of some theatre greats! Tapped for induction into the Hall of Fame are: Donna White Cory '82, Fred Inkley '88, David Newell '61, and Tim Ross '86. It's going to be a great night! Cost is $25/person.


  • 10am-1pm  — Homecoming Check-In!
    Kirkland Lobby (Abernethy Physical Education Center)
    Come to the gym lobby and see who has arrived from your Catawba years! Check-in, pick up your reserved tickets, get a nametag, mingle and sign the "Who's Here?" board. Your classmates will be looking for you!

    Enjoy fun displays of memorabilia and images from our Catawba's past along with aspirations for our Catawba's future as we kick-off a comprehensive campaign! Come join us on The Forward Path!

    Are you curious what some of the buildings are being used for these days? See the old and the new! Join the student-led walking tour of campus.

  • 11am-12:30pm — Alumni Admission Ambassadors and former Tour Guides
    Main Athletic Parking Lot (Outside Main Gate Entrance)
    Did you work in Admissions as a student? Did you give tours to prospective students and families? Come join the Admissions Office for a tailgate to celebrate your service to the college & meet up with old friends. Have some great food from College Bar-B-Que & learn more about how you can help with Admissions as an Alumni Ambassador in your home area.

  • 11am-1pm — Barbecue Luncheon featuring local favorite "Gary's BBQ" of China Grove!
    Goodman Gymnasium (Abernethy Physical Education Center)
    Do not miss your chance to enjoy some of North Carolina's best pork barbecue with all the sides! Catch up with retired faculty and staff as well as your alumni friends. Presentation of the Distinguished Alumnus Awards will begin at noon. We appreciate your pre-registration! Cost is $10/person.

  • 12noon — Distinguished Alumnus Awards
    Goodman Gymnasium (Abernethy Physical Education Center)
    Given by the Alumni Association, the DAAs honor select individuals who have served their community, distinguished themselves in their profession, and have served the Catawba College community. Come discover the recipients, witness the presentations and celebrate the contributions and accomplishments during the barbecue luncheon.

  • 12:30pm — Calling ALL Alumni!
    Belk Track (Shuford Stadium)
    Music major or not, you are invited to join the student choir to sing the National Anthem prior to the football game. Brief rehearsal begins at 12:30 pm.

  • 1pm — Class of 1964 . . . 50-YEAR REUNION!
    Hurley Press Box (Shuford Stadium)
    Come celebrate your very special reunion as guests of President lewis during the football game on Saturday. Your nametag and Class of '64 ribbon will grant you and one guest elevator access to the President's level of the Hurley Press Box. Please pre-register so we can have a packet waiting for you!

    *No football ticket purchase is required for you or your spouse/guest … but please register in advance.

  • 1:30pm — Football versus Brevard College!

    "Madonna Tribute," Songs made famous by the consummate pop Diva performed by Catawba College's popular music majors! Sing along to all of your favorites, including "Material Girl" and "like a Virgin."

    Omwake-Dearborn Chapel
    Did your wedding occur in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel? Or have you always dreamed what it would have been like to get married in the Chapel? Come relive the memories or create new ones on Homecoming Sunday! Join us for a special worship service commemorating the 50th anniversary of the construction of Omwake-Dearborn Chapel. At the conclusion of worship there will be a renewal of marriage vows service led by Catawba's chaplain and senior vice-president, the Rev. Dr. Ken Clapp ’70. Be sure to pre-register so we know to include you in this ceremony! Names of the couples wishing to reaffirm their vows will be called and you may process down the chapel aisle for a brief renewal ceremony. Light reception will follow in the Corriher-Linn-Black Library.
