Ain't Nothin But...

by Luke Robinson

Our first Saturday was our first full day off. Brittany and I traveled to Arsenal where we bought merchandise of the football (soccer) team, Arsenal Gunners, who Brittany, Sean, and myself will be seeing play LIVE on Wednesday the 6th.

Later that day, we visited the Tate Museum of Modern Art, but the highlight of our day happened at night as we spent our evening at "Ain't Nothin But..."

ColdWhat is "Ain't Nothin But..." you ask?  It is arguably the best blues bar in town, raved many of the locals.   We waited in a queue for nearly and hour, but it was well worth the wait. Moving around in the small, packed venue was difficult, but we soon were able to gain access to the front of the floor near the tables and eventually to a booth.

It was not long before we were standing in the booth dancing-the music was too good not too. The band consisted of a drummer, a slap-bassist, an electric guitarist, and a vocalist/harmonica player. Each of the band members is very talented and put on an amazing show. Brittany and I plan on going back before our trip is over

A cool side note-the walls were completely covered with actual sheet music and enameled over. One sheet was dated from the 1950s.
