Thou Art Weighed In the Balances
by Brooke Beall
The process home was a long one, we left the hostel at 4 in the morning (London time) and arrived in Charlotte around six (N.C. time). We left our hostel to stand at the bus stop for a good thirty minutes in the freezing cold waiting for the bus that would take us to the express train. After a crazy bus ride, we arrived at the train station and hopped on.
When we arrived at the airport five of us got off the train in time, the other four did not. As we watched the train doors close we tried to tell Linda and the others left on the train that we would stay at the platform and they will come around on the other side, I guess they didn’t get that message because they got off at the wrong stop. After much confusion and debate, we went up to the terminal to wait for the others. Soon everyone was there and we went through security (where I was searched) to wait in the terminal for our plane. I passed out on the plane. We had a four-hour delay in Canada (where everyone was searched) and we were finally on our way back to the States!
