Day 6: Lancaster, Pa to Easton, Md
by Quinn McRae '12
YES! Plenty of sleep last night and another generous host family. Everyone sat in the church for quite a while that morning. The major delay in getting on the buses was puzzling everybody. I did hear a rumor about someone's luxurious breakfast ... the world may never know.
Before our two and a half hour bus ride to Easton, Md., we stopped at a local seminary where College Chaplain Dr. Ken Clapp had received his Doctorate of Divinity and had a few questions answered. Back on the bus, someone put on the new Star Trek movie and the time passed quickly until we stopped for lunch in Security Square Mall, despite multiple Maryland natives telling us about how unbelievably sketchy it was. Oh well. Before I had time to take in what the food court had to offer me, some nice Asian-American lady was telling me I should get chicken teriyaki w/ veggies and fried rice. While we were eating, a friend went around the various tables and instigated an impromptu, mid-mall performance of Trashin' the Camp, a fun a cappella piece by Phil Collins. There was many a camera phone out and luckily someone secured some footage for us. In case you've ever wondered, flash
mob style chorale singing is way fun. (Yes, I meant to say 'way fun'.)
Then, onto the church. Christ Church of Easton. Yep... Ok, sorry guys but I totally don't remember anything specifically about that performance. They started blending together two churches ago.
