europe2.jpegDay 2 began with our flight from Charlotte landing in Munich, Germany. It was weird being in a country where English wasn't the first language. We didn't have a lot of time before our transfer flight so we walked to the gate and boarded our next flight to Rome. The plane was a lot smaller this time around, but nothing could compare to the beautiful scenery out of the window. Hundreds of white capped mountains and as we got closer to Rome, the beautiful green landscape began to arise.

Our tour guide Tamara, met us past customs and led us to the bus with our driver Luciano (apparently a typical Italian name). We started driving towards Rome and the plan was to begin the tourist activities straight away which included a panorama tour where we drove around and were shown all the sites, as a preview to the upcoming days. We stopped and got out at a couple of sites; which included the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps which were magnificent!!

We came home early in the afternoon, absolutely shattered from the traveling, and went out for a nice dinner at a small Italian restaurant. The majority of us stuck with the well known Italian pastas like cabonara or bolognase, we will have to broaden our range when we understand what they mean and are willing to try new dishes.
