Ballet Pensacola Artistic Director Returns to Catawba, Offers Master Class for Students and Community
Catawba College alumnus Richard Steinert '81, the artistic director of Ballet Pensacola, returned to his alma mater in April to offer master classes for college students and members of the Salisbury-Rowan community. Catawba College Recognizes Students, Faculty, Staff at Annual Awards Convocation
Members of the Catawba College community gathered in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on April 23 to celebrate achievement. The occasion was the annual Awards Convocation.Scheduled the day after Earth Day, the awards distributed were eco-friendly, made of Catawba blue, 100% recycled glass. They symbolized the college's commitment to environmental responsibility and are a reminder to the recipients to promote a greener, more sustainable lifestyle.
Ballet Pensacola Artistic Director Returns to Catawba for Student Workshops, Will Offer a Master Class for the Community on April 23
Catawba College alumnus Richard Steinert '81, the artistic director of Ballet Pensacola, will be back at his alma mater April 21-24 to work with college students and to offer master classes for them and the members of the Salisbury-Rowan community. Steinert, who visited campus in February 2012, has enjoyed a long and successful career as a dancer, a choreographer and an artistic director at some of the country's premier ballet companies.

Catawba Theatre Closes Its Season with Production of "The Crucible"
By Pen Chance '15, Augusta, Ga. - Catawba College's Theatre Department will close its 2012-2013 season with Arthur Miller's chilling classic, "The Crucible." The production runs April 9-10 at 6:55 p.m., and April 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. in Hedrick Theatre on campus. The stage is set in late 1600s, Salem, Massachusetts, as something evil winds its way into a small village. Rumors of witchcraft run amok and young girls fall ill to unknown causes.
2003 Catawba Alumna Memorialized with Endowed Scholarship
A new endowed scholarship established at Catawba College memorializes Anna Katherine Gregory Vance, a 2003 alumna who died in April 2011. The Scholarship was established by her husband, Dr. Shawn L. Vance of Kannapolis.

Catawba College Offers "Once on This Island" March 20-23
