We were overwhelmed by the sincere interest that everyone took in our daughter, Meagan, and by the passion that everyone we met — admissions staff, professors, administrators, and students, exhibited toward Catawba. Meagan knew before our weekend visit concluded that she wanted to be a part of the 'Catawba family.'

The years at Catawba were filled with exciting and varied opportunities for Meagan. Small class sizes and daily interaction with professors provided an ideal learning environment where she was continually challenged and given the opportunity to reach her academic potential. She took an exciting learning adventure to Italy, organized by one of her professors.

Regular volunteer opportunities emphasizing Catawba's commitment to service and community were available for her to participate in and learn from, and her involvement in student government and other campus clubs and organizations provided further opportunity for personal growth and leadership. It is indeed evident to us that the top priority at Catawba is to fulfill the college's mission of preparing students to reach their highest potential while becoming responsible citizens with a zeal to enrich human life.

Catawba is a very special place. We commend everyone involved at the college for their commitment to excellence and for their sincere commitment to all students."

"Catawba was a good fit from the beginning for Danielle. After her overnight stay, I knew she liked the school and was serious about going there. It just felt right. My husband and I also had a good feeling about Catawba.

I encouraged Danielle to go away to college because I feel the world is a big place and I wanted her to experience it. I felt comfortable with her being so far away because I knew she liked being there, so I did not worry. Although she originally did not want a small school, she felt like part of the Catawba family."

"I'm very passionate about Catawba as an alumnus, and I'm equally excited about the experiences my daughter had. I saw the similarities between her Catawba experience and mine, just years apart!"

"I know that I am very fortunate to have had Elisa and Nick attend a great college setting just across town. I LOVE Catawba. When Elisa decided to go to Catawba, it was so exciting for me. Being a non-traditional student at Catawba was a great experience for me. The Teacher Education Program was wonderful and I learned so much there. I left Catawba with a very strong base on which to build, and I’m still building!

I know that one of Catawba's selling points is that it is a small school setting. It's true! I personally would have been lost at a huge university. There's so much to be said for Catawba and the individualized attention you get there. Elisa also reiterated this. It is an awesome feeling knowing that if you have any concerns, academic or otherwise, there's always someone there to talk to face to face. That familiarity is very reassuring. I'm thrilled, too, that my son Nick also had this to look forward to at Catawba.

Whenever I pass by or visit Catawba, I feel such a sense of pride. The beautiful campus and grounds alone say so much for Catawba."
