The Bachelor of Business Administration degree concentration in Information Systems at Catawba College combines a curriculum rich in studies related to the latest technologies with business and the liberal arts.
The concentration was developed using model curriculum guidelines for undergraduate programs in Information Systems published cooperatively by the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP - formerly DPMA), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Association for Information Systems (AIS). Students in the program will find the faculty dedicated to quality classroom instruction using state of the art facilities designed by the ICCEL at Wake Forest University. All students are required to have a standardized laptop computer after the first semester of instruction in the major. The classroom instruction is applicable to popular industry certifications.
The program of study enables working adults to be enrolled as full-time students while attending classes two nights a week (Monday and Thursday) and one Saturday a month. Some courses are offered online.
