Financial Aid.

You can afford Catawba.

We believe strongly in access to quality education for students from all socioeconomic backgrounds and are committed to making Catawba affordable and lessening the burden of debt.

Financial Aid

co-fanums.gifRanked among North Carolina's Highest Return on Investment Colleges, Catawba is exceptionally affordable. Our students graduate with an average of 28% less in student loan debt than students at other ranked private schools and 9% less than those at ranked public schools.

We are committed to making Catawba College's quality education accessible to everyone. Every undergraduate receives financial aid, and first-time freshman receive an average of over $28,000 in aid.

You need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with Catawba’s Federal ID number 002914 starting October 1st of each year. The FAFSA application allows our Financial Aid Office to award you all the aid you are eligible for from Catawba College and from the federal and state governments in the form of scholarships, grants, work study, and loans.

The FAFSA is free and easy to complete online.

Once you file your FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will send you a Financial Aid Award Letter with details regarding your aid package. When you enroll at Catawba College, pay careful attention to any Financial Aid Requirements you need to complete to retain all the financial aid offered to you.

Our Financial Aid Office looks forward to assisting you as you become part of the Catawba College family!

The Financial Aid Office is located on the first floor of the Hedrick Administration Building in the center of our beautiful 276-acre campus. Our hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.
