Meet Our Staff
Kimberly A. Smith, M.Ed.
Kimberly Smith has been active in higher education at Catawba College for over 14 years. Prior to serving as Registrar, she served as the director of the Catawba to Career (C2C) program, where she worked with students to explore pathways to success during college and after graduation. She also serves as a Title IX Investigator and teaches a First-Year Seminar on art appreciation.
She also served as the coordinator of academic affairs in the Office of the Provost. During that time, she was a member of the SACS Decennial Review Leadership Committee. Kim holds a Masters of Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration.
Prior to her career in higher education, Kim had extensive experience in the legal field for 12 years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, and holds certifications as an ATIXA Level II Civil Rights Investigator and as a paralegal.
