Residence Hall Updates

We are excited about the updates coming to Salisbury-Rowan and Woodson Halls this summer! The changes will be ready for you when you arrive on campus in August.

Living on Campus

Catawba is a residential college. Our residence halls represent the heart of the student experience. Each has its own unique sense of community, but every hall is "home" for students.

Living in a residence hall is part of the educational experience, just like going to class. You meet new people, share new ideas, overcome differences, and develop life-long friendships.

All full-time students (enrolled for 12 or more semester hours) who are not 21 years of age or older, and who do not live at the home of their parents, guardians, or spouse are required to live on campus. You must take a full-time course load while living on-campus unless you have been granted an exception by the Director of Housing and Residential Life.

The Office of Student Affairs assigns campus housing through our room reservation procedures. Each room has a bed, mattress, study table/desk, and dresser or chest of drawers.

Each residence hall has laundry facilities for your use.
