Year of Inquiry: I decided to be a part of the Year of Inquiry program because I am unsure of where I am called into ministry. I feel that God has called me into the ministry field, but my heart feels pulled in two different directions. I am exploring the possibilities of either youth ministry or working in the field of law fight religious and human rights injustices. The Year of Inquiry program has asked the tough questions as well as fostered an environment that allows me to explore my career field without the pressures of the world pushing me to make my decision right now. I am thankful for Dr. Clapp and the Lilly Center for providing this program that has helped me in more than one way.
Volunteer Catawba: Volunteer Catawba provides students with opportunities to give back to the community that we live in. I have had the opportunity to serve breakfast at Rowan Helping Ministries, attend prayer walks and go on service-centered retreats. I think that giving back to our community is an essential part of life and I am grateful that Volunteer Catawba has such a presence on campus that provides these opportunities.
