Welcome to Catawba College's School of Evening and Graduate Studies!
I don’t know you, yet I probably know about you.
You are a busy, hard-working adult juggling a lot of responsibilities. You are probably a bit nervous about what going to school might mean financially and how it might affect your ability to meet your family and work responsibilities. You probably want to maintain some social life. You may have started a degree program earlier and stopped. You could have an associate’s degree and you are wondering if we will accept the credits you would like to transfer. You might even be a bit scared wondering if you should even return to school at all.
All of those are normal questions and concerns. You are not alone.
We understand; many of us have been in that same spot, considering our future and options for more education. Personally, I have over 10 years as an adult student, balancing work, family, and school. It takes a lot of work, but the rewards are tremendous.
As you consider Catawba for your bachelor’s degree, I encourage you to keep three things in mind:
- No matter where you have come from, you control your future. Whether you are 21 or 61, your future will be greatly impacted by a college degree.
- Thousands of people have made the journey in front of you through our program. It may not always be easy, but it is an achievable goal.
- We are committed to helping you every step of the way, from an accelerated application process to a flexible start time. We launch classes 10 times a year so you can start on your time frame — no waiting for August or January. When you are ready, we are ready.
My best advice to you is simply talk with us. Let us know what you are trying to accomplish, and what you are looking for in a degree. We will be honest with you and share how our program fits your goals, and if we aren’t your best choice, we will help you make that decision too.
No matter what, we are excited that you stopped by this page. Please look around and let us know if you would like more information — we will reply promptly via e-mail. If you want to talk with us, you can call me directly at 704-637-4463.
Good luck and I hope to see you on campus soon.
