Tuition Remission for North Carolina Community College Students
Tuition Remission is college wording for “Free.”
Catawba College offers North Carolina Community College students the opportunity to take one course per semester through Catawba tuition-free. This allows community college students the ability to earn up to the equivalent of one full-time semester at Catawba College, without paying tuition. After earning your associates degree, you are closer to earning your bachelor degree, and your total cost is significantly less.
Who can benefit?
The program is limited to full-time, degree-seeking students at a North Carolina Community College.
Where and when are classes?
Fall and Spring semesters are both available. Day courses run for the full semester during normal day hours on our main campus in Salisbury. The School of Evening & Graduate Studies offers one month courses in the evening in both Salisbury and Charlotte, as well as semester-long online courses. Courses offered in the summer and at the graduate level are not included.
What courses are available?
To view a list of evening courses, view the School of Evening and Graduate Studies schedule.
To find out which courses are available during the day, contact Greg Alexander at (704) 637-4238 or by e-mail.
