CEED is Comprised of Three Main Elements
- At its foundation are its educational components, offering both an Entrepreneurship Concentration within the BS, Business Administration program and a Minor for all students throughout campus. The Entrepreneurship curriculum focuses on the development of the critical core capabilities associated with the successful creation of a new business as either as a traditional entrepreneur or as an intrapreneur in an established larger organization. The educational element includes a combination of core courses and a variety of electives.
- In addition to these exciting degree options, CEED also holds Entrepreneurship Workshops that are open to the entire Catawba community and features topics from What is an Entrepreneur?, How to be an Entrepreneur and NOT own a Company, to Making the Pitch.
- In addition to the educational and workshop components, CEED offers a business incubator (CEED Venture Program) and a business accelerator (CEED Catapult). Students across campus who have business ideas will be able to apply for acceptance into these programs and get important help in developing and launching them. As a part of this program we offer mentors, limited funding, and community resources. The mentor network is made up of successful entrepreneurs and business people from the local community, throughout the country and the alumni community. Mentors will be matched with startups and provide counsel to the entrepreneurs across many aspects of their venture.
