Catawba College's chemistry facilities include both laboratories and a Science Computer Laboratory, available to all students majoring in science.

Students majoring in Chemistry at Catawba have access to laboratory areas for General Chemistry, introductory chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and a wide range of instrumentation.

SCIENCE TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP

Full-time Catawba students who are majoring in Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Sciences and conducting mentored research projects are eligible for the Student Science Travel Award. Students receiving the travel scholarship use this money for travel to a scientific conference where their research will be presented.

Activities for Catawba College Chemistry students include American Chemical Society (ACS) and Gamma Sigma EpsilonStudent chapters are organizations for undergraduate chemical science majors. Members participate in a wide range of programs and activities that enhance their college experience and prepare them for successful careers.
