A little more about me:
My name is Krissey Browder, a senior majoring in Musical Theatre from Wilkesboro, NC. I love to perform on stage and film. In my time at Catawba I’ve had the opportunity to play several roles including CB’s Sister in Dog Sees God, for which I received an Irene Ryan Acting nomination and the award for Best Actress of the season, and Eliza in The Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence. I have found a love for devised theatre and directing an ensemble. I also have a love for marketing and publicity and have worked as a marketing intern for Lee Street Theatre in Salisbury and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in Center Valley, PA. While still at an amateur level, I love to dabble in photography and video production as well, taking headshots for some of my fellow classmates and publicity photos as well as creating the trailers for some of our productions here at Catawba.
I am an avid nerd and French bulldog enthusiast. I love nature and exploring new places. Cities make me very excited. I love to travel to new places, especially those steeped in history that I can geek out over. I would love any and all advice on entering the professional world!

A little more about me:
I came in to Catawba as a BFA musical theatre student before being exposed to, and falling in love with, the world of electrics and lighting. I am a former athlete. I played football, wrestled, and threw shotput and discus in high school. I still enjoy working out. I mainly workout because I like to eat. I enjoy cooking and mixing cocktails for myself and for friends, and I enjoy experimenting with new flavors of both food and drinks. As an alternative career I would have no qualms designing, opening, running, and bartending a jazz bar (I may or may not have plans already for this with a friend). While I don’t have much time for it, I have recently fallen in love with hiking and camping, and I love getting out into nature. I am an avid watcher of documentaries and love visiting places steeped in history and historical artifacts/infrastructures. I have recently come off an internship at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival as an electrics intern. I loved being able to do what I loved in a professional setting and not have to go home and do homework afterwards.

Overall, I enjoy life and can’t wait to get out and explore the world and start working for a living. While, I am ready to leave school, I never want to stop learning. I enjoy picking up new skills and learning new things, and I look forward to gaining as much knowledge as I can from this experience.

A little more about me:
I’ve spent a lot of time on the academic side of things and have run the gambit of jobs I can take in our department at Catawba, from actor, to director, to carpenter, to pretty much anything else. So, I suppose you could say I have a lot of experience making theatre in an academic setting. However, besides for a little bit of work on the technical side at Lee St. Theatre (still in conjunction with Catawba), I haven’t had much of any professional work experience in the field. Like most people fresh out of college, I’m just getting my start, so any practical business advice would be more than welcome as I try and get my bearings. Though I would love to hack it as an actor, I still have an open mind about jobs I would be willing to take on in theatre, and would be very receptive to any nuggets of wisdom from all areas of theatrical expertise.
