WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS (ONLINE & EVENING UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM)

The refund policy is based on length of course and how it is delivered. Students in a fully online course must withdraw from the course on the first day of the course for a full refund. Students in a hybrid course must withdraw by 11:59PM of the first day the class meets (Tuesday for block 5, Thursday for blocks 1-4).  A 75% refund is available dependent on the length of the course. Read our detailed refund policy here and please pay careful attention to the deadlines. We cannot make refunds after the dates indicated.

Please note that policies governing financial aid may need to be considered in addition to the refund policies just stated. Students contemplating withdrawal from a class should contact the financial aid office to determine what effect, if any, withdrawing will produce. Most types of financial aid require full-time status in order to qualify.

Online and Evening students should always discuss proposed withdrawals with their advisor.

OTHER EXPENSES

Books average $100-$120 per class. Used books, which are more economical, are available whenever possible. There is an opportunity at the end of the semester to sell your books back to the store.

Students must be "degree-seeking" and often "full-time" in order to receive financial aid. "Full-time" means you must sign up for at least 12 hours in a semester.

Catawba offers an interest-free installment payment plan each Fall and Spring semester. Students and authorized users must enroll via Catawba's Touchnet Electronic Statement and Payment Center. The 5-month payment plan runs from July through November for the Fall Semester and December through April for the Spring semester. The plans are interest free and a one-time $35.00 installment plan fee is due when you enroll for a payment Plan each semester.

Some companies "sponsor" students and request that Catawba bill them for the courses. Prior arrangement must be made with the Business Office. Most companies prefer to reimburse students at the end of each course.

FINANCIAL AID AND ACCOUNT PAYMENTS

Students who wish to apply for financial aid should contact the Financial Aid Office, 704- 637-4416, for further information.

For information regarding tuition payments, please contact the Business Office (student accounts) at 704-637-4388.
