What's your favorite thing about Catawba?
If you're new to Catawba, what's your favorite aspect of college life?
So far how friendly everyone is and excited people are to meet new faces. My favorite aspect of college life is the opportunity to try new things!

If you could only engage in one hobby the rest of your life, what would it be?
Playing my clarinet in community bands

If you could tell your freshman self one piece of advice, what would it be?
The friends you make on your first day/semester/year do not have to be your friends forever

Where's the best place you've traveled to?
Internationally: Rome, Italy. Domestically: Denver area, Colorado.

If you could have brunch with anyone, who would it be and why?
Celine Dion. Just saw her live. She has a phenomenal and angelic voice. Plus, she's hilarious and engaging.

Why should students come see you?
With my skills & qualifications, I'm prepared to help every student to the best of my ability. I also look forward to engaging with students on a personal level. Let's chat about TV, sports, culture, arts, etc!

What advice would you have to incoming students?
Two things: One, go to every single class. Professors notice who is there and who is participating. Two, get involved with something on campus. Find a club, organization, or group that you want to get involved in. You will find friends and, more importantly, a sense of belonging.

What is your favorite activity on campus?
As a student, it was exploring new places around campus and meeting new people. As a professional, it is supporting students with what they are involved in. Those could events such as athletic games or performances.

What Catawba core value (Scholarship, Character, Culture, Service) resonates to you and why?
I would say Character. Being the person who you are affects the other three. By having excellent character, one will have a high respect for their studies and their community while positively affecting the culture around them.

If you could tell your freshmen self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Like life, college is the adventure you make it. Mistakes are fine as long as you learn from them.

Why should students come see you?
Transitions, like the one from high school to college, are tough. I can help you with the transition and can help you with strategies to help you be successful in the classroom. I also enjoy traveling, reading, gaming, and sports.

Where’s the best place you’ve travel to?
Internationally, the Tuscany region in Italy. Domestically, the mountains of NC.
