Daryl received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Eastern Michigan University, and his Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His career includes similar student success leadership appointments in a variety of higher education settings including large state schools, community colleges, and small privates. Originally from Detroit, MI, Daryl was a first generation, Pell eligible, student, who flunked out of college.  And that is the experience he credits for igniting his passion for his professional career in student success. When not at work, Daryl enjoys traveling the world; spending time with his family, friends, and pets; and reading. Plus, he cooks an awesome prime rib!

Daniel was born and raised right here in North Carolina. He graduated from East Rowan High School in Salisbury where he went to Western Carolina University. He earned his bachelors degrees and a masters degree in College Student Personnel. Prior to coming to Catawba College, Daniel worked in Residence Life and Student Success. He enjoys working with college students to help achieve academic success. He is married to his best friend and wife Lydia who also works in education.

Austin joined Catawba College as a Student Success Coach staff in Spring 2020 to help develop the Catawba students both professionally and personally.

Sarah received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Her graduate work experience was in residence life and conference services, and she completed a capstone project, titled Providing Academic Care for First-Year Students of Color.  Sarah also has a passion for the first-year experience, which is what drew her to working in higher education, and specifically as a Student Success Coach!  Sarah is originally from Denmark, WI, the oldest of four children, and was a first-generation and Pell eligible student. Sarah enjoys spending her free time by listening to true-crime podcasts, watching The Office, and exploring her new home in Charlotte!
