Requirements for Freshmen Admission
Recommended High School Coursework
All students must present a minimum of 16 high school units of which 12 must be academic core subjects and/or designated as college preparatory. It is recommended that each student successfully complete the following courses in high school:

The Average Academic Profile
Middle 50% profile ranges for admitted Catawba Students are posted below. Bear in mind, these ranges are not minimums and maximums; they are a strong representation of the average academic profile.

- SAT 910-1110 (Critical Reading & Math)
- ACT 19-24
Catawba offers a Test Optional Admission Program for students with GPA’s of 3.25 or higher
Rolling Admission
Admission to Catawba is rolling. Rolling admission means you will receive an admissions decision within 2-3 weeks of completing your application file. (See How to Apply for more details). We encourage applicants to apply as early as possible to ensure their best chance of admission.
