Transferring to Catawba College as an Evening or Online student.
Applying as an Evening or Online Transfer Student
Catawba College has a generous transfer credit policy, and we encourage transfer students to apply.
Many of our recent adult transfer graduates have attended as many as four other schools before coming to Catawba. There is one simple reason for this: life happens to the working adult student, and that sometimes means stopping at one place and starting at another. The good news is that Catawba’s goal is helping you finish your degree.
As a transfer student in the School of Evening and Graduate Studies at Catawba College, you can transfer up to 90 credits towards your degree. Community college degrees transfer up to 64 credit hours, and four-year college and university courses can transfer up to 90 credit hours.
Financial Assistance

If you are a current NC community college student, talk with us about maximizing your transfer while you are still a student at a community college - whether that is one semester or two years ahead of you. We are happy to work with you while you are at a community college to ensure the most cost-efficient degree path.
Tuition Remission
You should look into our Tuition Remission program for North Carolina community college students. In short, we offer free courses to full-time community college students to help them reach their long-term goals.
