How to Apply as a Transfer Day Student
The term "transfer" includes students who have attended another college or university, may have credits to transfer, and may have an Associate degree, but do not have a Bachelor degree. Applying as a transfer student is easy!
Will you be enrolled in and taking Catawba College classes while still in High School?
You will apply as a Joint Enrollment student.
STEP 1Apply Online
NOTE: If you will be taking Catawba classes while enrolled in high school, you will apply as a Joint Enrollment student and submit the New Abbreviated Day Application once logged into the Admission portal.
Submit the following items to complete the application process:
- An official college transcript from every institution of higher learning you have attended.
- If you have earned one of the following degrees - Associates of Arts, Associates of Sciences, Associates of Nursing - you will submit an official college transcript (a notarized English translation is required when records are in another language) from every institution of higher learning that you have attended;
- If you have not earned one of the above associate's degrees, you are required to provide an official copy of your final high school transcript;
- A completed Transfer Reference Form completed by the Dean of Students from the last college or university attended.

DATES AND DEADLINES
Transfer students are strongly encouraged to submit their college transcript(s), official final high school transcript and application for admission to Catawba College by August 1 for the fall semester and no later than two weeks prior to the Spring semester.
Candidates will be notified of their application status within three weeks after Catawba receives the completed application file, including all college transcripts and any other requested information.
