Transfer of Credit: Day Students
If you have an associate’s degree (AA, AS, AFA, or AN) from an accredited North Carolina community college, all of your general education requirements at Catawba will be met.
The Catawba College Registrar and your Admissions counselor are available to meet with you to discuss and evaluate the courses you have completed and the transferability of these courses. Contact your admissions counselor today to schedule an appointment!
Graduates of North Carolina Community College degree programs (Associate of Arts or Associate of Science) covered under the 1997 Comprehensive Articulation Agreement may receive up to 64 semester hours transfer credit. Students who have attended or are currently attending an accredited four-year institution may transfer up to 90 semester hours of credit to Catawba College, as determined by Catawba's Registrar. Students who are attending or have attended an accredited community or junior college may transfer up to 60 semester hours of credit to Catawba College.

Catawba College has an articulation agreement with all North Carolina community colleges which offer an AFA in Music programs. This allows for a seamless transition of students from community college to bachelor degree programs in Music at Catawba College.
theatre transfer students
Catawba College has an articulation agreement with all North Carolina community colleges which offer an AFA in Theatre Arts programs. This allows for a seamless transition of students from community college to bachelor degree programs in Theatre Arts at Catawba College.
education licensure transfer students
Although students who complete the A.S. or A.A. degree and transfer to Catawba College meet general education requirements, they may not necessarily meet certain requirements for teacher licensure. On its official transcripts, Catawba College will show course titles, grades, and credit hours earned (but not quality points) on transfer and transient courses for which Catawba has comparable courses and in which the student has earned a "C-" or better.
