Ashley Spearman is a native of Charlotte, NC and a graduate of Independence High School. Ashley attended North Carolina Central University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Relations. While attending NCCU, Ashley worked in Housing and Residence Life as a Community Assistant and a Conference and Guest Services Conference Leader. She continued to pursue her education in Higher Administration at Florida International University, where she received her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration.

While attending FIU, she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the International Student and Scholar Services office. During her time at FIU, she was an intern for Residence Life where she supervised Resident Assistants and served as an advisor to Panther (Hall) Hall Council. Ashley also has experience working with the TRIO programs. She is coming to Catawba College from UNT Dallas where she served as the First Residence Hall Coordinator/Assistant Director. During her time at UNT Dallas, Ashley developed residential programming models, Resident and Desk Assistant manuals, started the Residence Hall Association, created Intramurals for residential students, served as a Conduct Hearing Officer/Title IX investigator, and so much more. Ashley has a strong passion for student development and student leadership.
