Recreational Activities for Catawba Students
All work and no play makes Jack (and Jill) a dull student.
At Catawba College, we know that our students are passionate about their academic pursuits, and also have many diverse interests in activities beyond the classroom. We understand that an exceptional college experience must include time for both; our students inspire us to provide the best recreational opportunities on and off campus.
rain or shine, the fun awaits.
As a Catawba student, you can enjoy fun in the sun right here on campus playing disc golf, tossing bean bags for a game of cornhole, cruising a bike around our beautiful campus, or enjoying the sand between your toes at the sand volleyball court. There are plenty of rainy day recreation options as well, such as indoor racquetball courts, an indoor swimming pool, and the cardio and weight training facilities at the Wellness Center.
Join your friends in the game room at the student center for some indoor fun with a friendly game of table tennis, air hockey or pool. Or, just kick back and flex your mental muscles and dexterity with the fun and challenge courtesy of the Catawba Anime and Gaming Club or the Chess Club.
Off campus, students at Catawba College can go hiking or camping in the mountains with Catawba Outdoor Adventures (COA), explore the largest natural habitat zoo in America, take a road trip to the beach or a short drive to the U.S. Whitewater Center. More of a thrill seeker? Take on the exciting roller coasters at Carowinds amusement park or test your problem-solving skills at one of the many themed escape rooms within driving distance of campus.
No matter what interests you outside the classroom, Catawba has you covered.
