Daniel Allen

Daniel was born and raised right here in North Carolina. He graduated from East Rowan High School in Salisbury and then attended Western Carolina University. He earned his bachelors degree and a masters degree in College Student Personnel. Prior to coming to Catawba College, Daniel worked in Residence Life and Student Success. He enjoys working with college students to help achieve academic success. He is married to his best friend and wife Lydia, who also works in education.

As a Student Success Coach, I assist students with:

• The transition from high school to college with a focus on academic success
• One on one support of academic skills like notetaking and time management
• Periodic check-ins with students who may be struggling in the classroom
