Former Catawba Baseball player Jerry Sands had two home runs and another hit in the open game in the Japanese League. The story was sent in by Chiefs Club members Kimiko and Shuji Onchi who live in Tokyo. Their daughter Erisa Onchi ’18 played on the Catawba Women’s Tennis team.

Thanks to Daniel ‘06 and Allison DeRhodes Flack ’10 for their support of OUR Catawba Chiefs Club. While at Catawba, Daniel worked with the football team as part of the film crew. He was also a member of the Philomathean Society and SNCAE. The Alamance-Burlington School System honored Daniel as the Alexander Wilson Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2021.
