A message from Catawba President Dr. David Nelson:

Homecoming 2020 Update

Catawba Family and Friends, we are pleased to announce that Homecoming is still happening for 2020, though it may look very different than years past! We are in the midst of creating a Virtual Homecoming for this Fall 2020. As students are returning to campus to begin the 2020-21 academic year, we are working diligently to preserve the health, safety, and well-being of the Catawba community. Holding Homecoming activities in a virtual format will help us do just that. While I looked forward to meeting many of you in person at these events, we’ll do so virtually this year and look forward to a time in the future when we can again gather on campus.

So, what looks different this year? We will hold Virtual Homecoming Events over the entire week of Homecoming, November 2-8 to provide flexibility to attend various events. Once we’ve finalized these events, you can register for those you would like to attend. Upon registration, you will receive login information so you can join the celebration.

While I’m disappointed, as I’m sure you are, that we can’t have in-person events this Fall, I hope you’ll join us for the virtual events, enjoy the celebration, and look forward to future in-person events as they occur. We do want you to mark your calendars for our 2021 Homecoming on October 16th!

Additionally, we want to see if you’re interested in some form of an in-person Spring Alumni Weekend if we are able to gather people on campus by that time. Please take a moment to take the survey below.

Warm regards,

David P. Nelson
President
