Former Catawba Men’s Golfer Tanner Bibey named honorable mention All-America.
NORMAN, Okla. – Catawba men’s golfer, Tanner Bibey, was named a 2020-21 Honorable Mention All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Bibey set a school record in his final season last year with a 70.92 stroke average over 13 rounds.
Bibey led Catawba in all five tournament last spring, which included four top 10s and a runner-up spot at the Cherokee Valley Invitational. He was a second team All-South Atlantic Conference performer and his seventh-place finish at the league championships garnered him all-tournament honors.
Over his 67 round career, Bibey set school marks with a 73.26 stroke average and a dozen rounds in the 60s. He would also set standards with 22 rounds under par and 28 rounds of par or below.
