Catawba College Receives STARS Silver Rating for Sustainability Achievements

Catawba College has earned a STARS Silver rating in recognition of its sustainability work from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System measures and encourages sustainability in all aspects of higher education.

Catawba College has appointed Dr. ChaMarra Saner as interim provost beginning June 1st. She will serve upon the departure of current Provost Constance Rogers-Lowery, who will be returning to teaching and research.

Catawba College is advancing their efforts to be a model for sustainability by adding five new Haven solar shelters to their Salisbury campus. Two of the Havens arrived on campus last week, which marks the first commercial delivery of the solar shelters in the United States and re-confirms the College’s commitment to a thriving, sustainable future.
