Love is in the Air: Spring Choral Concert

co-singers2020.pngOn Sunday, February 23rd at 4:00pm, the choirs of Catawba College will present their first spring concert in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel located on the campus of Catawba College. The theme, "Love is in the Air," will feature musical selections related to the love of God, Country and Humankind.

Catawba choirs are under the direction of Dr. Phillip E. Burgess, Associate Chair of Music and Director of Choral/Vocal Studies.

Selections for the program include: Richard Nance's Set Me as a Seal; If Music be the Food of Love, David Dickau, Various selections from Broadway and Cinema, and a special rendition of Queen's Somebody to Love.

The Pop Acapella and Chamber Choirs will round out the concert with additional music selected from Top 40 Hits.

Mr. Jacob Hahn, Professor of Keyboard Studies accompanies the ensembles for both rehearsals and performance.

The hour-long concert is free and open to the public.
