Georgia on My Mind

During a portion of my 2015 Spring Break, I journeyed further south to the hot city of Atlanta, Georgia. This being my first time visiting, I was definitely looking forward to the many attractions Atlanta has to offer.
Little did I know, not only was I going to be exposed to a multitude of culture, but I also made memories I will carry for a lifetime. I laughed until my stomach hurt, I cried due to overwhelming and humbling experiences such as sitting in the church Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. preached in, and I smiled as I walked the halls of the wonderful Grady High School, imagining what my future may hold in the classroom. I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to experience a trip such as the one I took this Spring.
I can honestly say after my trip with the West Scholars to Atlanta, the memories will forever keep “Georgia on my mind."
