During Spring break 2016, I once again had the privilege to take 15 Catawba students to France on a cultural trip. Mrs.Ann Clifton was assisting me for the second time on such a trip. We also enjoyed the company of Dr.Coggin and his wife.

Some of the students had never left North Carolina prior to this long journey across the Atlantic Ocean. For some of them, it was  also their first time flying in an airplane.

Our trip took us to Paris, Versailles, Avignon, Aix en Provence, and many other places. To see the joy and the sense of wonder in our students' eyes, as we were having dinner at the Eiffel Tower, validates all the planning and work involved in organizing such a trip.

I could not be more proud of our students for their wonderful attitude and behavior during the entire trip. They are great international ambassadors for Catawba.
