Catawba College Career Services Awarded Grant by Enterprise Holdings Foundation
August 9, 2016
Catawba College's Career Services office was honored to receive a grant from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation recently to help support its Developing Emerging Professionals Program, How to Succeed in the Real World. This program presents a panel of professional women offering their best advice for success in the work world for college students.
The event, which is targeted for female students, staff and faculty, is open to the campus and community and concludes with an opportunity to network with the panel members.
"We have had an on-going collaboration with Enterprise Holdings through their participation in Mock Interviews and presentations on campus, and other events," explains Robin Perry, Director of Career Services. "Summer Sturgill, then Talent and Acquisition Specialist informed us of the grant application. She has been on campus to do Mock Interviews and was part of our professional panel for the "How to Succeed" program last spring," Perry adds.
As is their custom, Summer has been promoted to Remarketing Account Manager and Sabrina Tull is now Talent Acquisition Specialist. She made the presentation of the check to Catawba and will be working with Catawba and other institutions of higher education in North Carolina.
"I am thrilled to present this check to Catawba College for such an important program," Tull said.
"We look forward to working with Enterprise Holdings on campus and beyond, and are most grateful for their generous support," adds Perry.
