Catawba College Commissions Junior Marshals for 2007-2008

Catawba College President Dr. Robert Knott commissioned 15 students as Junior Marshals in a ceremony held Wednesday, August 29 in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on campus.
These Junior Marshals were chosen from the junior class based on academic rank and are among the most honored students on campus. They embody the best of Catawba College both in academic achievement and service to the College community. They will represent the College at formal gatherings throughout the academic year, including convocations, baccalaureate and commencement. By assisting College Marshal David Pulliam, they will assure that order and dignity are observed during these occasions.
Junior Marshals from the day program for the 2007-2008 academic year include Claire Elizabeth Alston of Kernersville; Jill Rose Archambault of Glens Falls, N.Y.; Allan R. Autry of Fayetteville; Nicole Renee Bowles of Monroe; Kenzie Madeline Elyse Brogden of Wilmington; Nicole Lee Durant of Fairview; Elizabeth Marie Foster of Baltimore, Md.; Derek Wade Freeze of China Grove; Molly Elaine Harris of Mocksville; Sara Luree Johnson of Charlotte; Justin Tyler Lewis of Knoxville, Tenn.; Cassondra Lea Markham of New Port Richey, Fla.; K. Michael Pierce Matthias of Georgetown, Del.; Katrina Carol Pergerson of Roxboro; and Paul Christian Saylor of Isle of Palms, S.C.
