Catawba College Professor Discusses International Business With Nicaraguan Students

Catawba College Professor Richard Browne recently shared insights in his presentation "Strategy vs. Execution – which matters more in achieving global business success?" while lecturing to the Master's of Business class at the Universidad Americana, Managua, Nicaragua. Browne, who lectures in International Business at Catawba's Ketner School of Business, utilized case studies from several Fortune 500 companies to highlight the factors for winning at business in the global arena.

"Browne's success in growing businesses in some of the world's most dynamic markets provided many insights which he openly shared with our class," UAM Professor Enrique Cordero stated. "By combining theory with reality, he gave our students some tools that will enable them to continue to grow in their careers. We appreciate Catawba College supporting his engagement with us."

Key points covered during the discussion include the importance of a clear organizational vision, the ability to prioritize and the criticality of having organization structure aligned with business goals.
