Catawba College Psychology Professor Attends Meeting in Italy

Dr. Albert E. (Robin) Roberts, a Catawba College professor of psychology, recently attended the 13th meeting of the European Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics held in Genoa, Italy.
This meeting attracted participants from 44 countries and focused on the new developments in using clinical ultrasound as a neuroimaging tool to assess progressive cerebrovascular impairments which can lead to a set of problems such as stroke, dementia, and general cognitive dysfunctions. The very recent applications in the use of ultrasound as a treatment technique to prevent stroke also were covered.
