Catawba College Students & Faculty Attend Southeastern Psychological Association Meeting

Ten students and four faculty members from Catawba College attended the Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA) 68th Annual Meeting in March 2022 in Hilton Head, SC.


Catawba students in attendance included Jackson Chapin, Maria Martinez, Riley Dorman, Destiny Porter, Julia Vero, Andrea Griffin, Kyle Holmes, Tessa Maggard, Abby Walters, and Kelsie McMannen. Faculty in attendance included Drs. Janelle Blazek, Sheila Brownlow, Jennifer Klebaur, and Erin Wood.

Klebaur presided over a session and Wood presented in a symposium titled “Using Innovative Teaching Strategies.” Brownlow also presided over a session and sat on a panel titled “So you want to be a department chair?”

Students and faculty also made several presentations of their original research including:

  • Pro-environmental Attitudes and Social Dominance Orientation
